A class starts every month.
Twelve dates a year at every campus. Seats are capped by aircraft and instructors, so the small campuses fill first.
Start dates through 2027.
How far ahead to apply
If you are a US citizen, contact admissions at least three weeks before the start date you want. If you are not, start at least sixty days before orientation, because TSA authorization has to be in hand before training can begin and it is slow.
Why seats run out
A cohort is limited by aircraft and instructors, not by classroom seats. The smaller campuses run six to eight students a month, so a date there can close weeks before the same date at Addison. If the campus you want is full, an advisor can either hold you for the next month or place you at another campus on the date you wanted.
The campuses are open 361 days a year
Closed for New Year’s Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Dispatch runs 07:00 to 18:00 depending on location; flight hours generally fall between 05:00 and 23:00, and stretch beyond that during the night cross-country phase of some courses.
Single certificates do not wait for a start date
Courses taken one-on-one begin whenever an instructor and an aircraft are free. There is a twelve-month limit to complete one.
